Respice. Adspice. Prospice.
This Latin phrase means “Look behind, look here, look ahead”, or “examine the past, present, and future”.
When I created this blog back in 2011 I was young, looking to an unknown future and wanting writing to be a big part of that. Life has taken unexpected turns, and the journey has been as conventional as anyone’s ever is. The name has stuck (out of laziness and ironic nostalgia).
The concept not ignoring the past, but focusing on the now and anticipating the future is still one I hold in high regard.
